I’m Michael Bert, and I’ve spent decades building software across every corner of technology — games, robotics, medical systems, government platforms, e‑commerce, education, and more. But OpenStory is different. It’s something I built for my son, and for every child who struggles with reading, writing, or simply finding a place where their imagination feels safe.

OpenStory lets anyone create a book: write a story, generate or upload images, add your own voice, or use AI narration. You can flip through your story like a real book, publish it, or print it through Lulu.com and hold it in your hands within days.

I work on this project the way an artist paints — late at night, early in the morning, driven by a desire to build something beautiful and useful that grows with the people who use it. Thank you for being part of this journey. Your feedback helps me make OpenStory better for everyone.
